I had the absolute honour of being best man for Dave. And let me tell you, trying to sum up ten years of friendship, business, chaos and laughter in one speech was no easy task. But I gave it a go.
There were a few dodgy jokes (mainly about his dad’s legendary forearms), but also this bit that hit home:
”I’ve been blessed to work side by side with Dave for the last 10 years building our dream together. Which luckily has meant we’ve done it all…
We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve won, we’ve lost, we’ve felt the heights of stress and the lows of failure (and we both literally have the grey hair coming through to show for it)…but we’ve also had the heights of achievement and accomplishment and joys of success.
Above all, what’s actually mattered and meant the most to me is getting to do it all side by side, together. You’re the big brother I never had.”
We’ve built Sketch from day one, and seeing him marry Faye was honestly one of my proudest moments. The day was full of love, proper belly laughs, and some questionable dance moves. Wouldn’t have changed a thing.
Just a few days later, our Performance Manager Edd tied the knot with the love of his life, Hannah, over in the French countryside.
The photos looked straight out of a movie. Even from afar, you could feel the love.
Edd brings so much heart into everything he does, including Sketch, and we couldn’t be happier to see him start this new chapter with Hannah.
At Sketch, we talk a lot about culture. But it’s moments like these that remind us what it really means: people growing, milestones shared, and cheering each other on through every chapter.
To Dave and Faye, Edd and Hannah, we’re so happy for you. Thanks for letting us be part of it all in one way or another.
We’ll just be over here recovering…with coffee and croissants!
