A Visit to Gymshark

Last week, our team at Sketch Creative had the incredible opportunity to visit the Gymshark headquarters in Birmingham. As a company rooted in creativity, we were eager to see how a local giant like Gymshark operates and to soak up some inspiration for our own journey.

From the moment we stepped into Gymshark, we felt the buzz of energy and passion that fuels their team. The space was truly impressive, with the brand’s forward-thinking culture on display at every turn. Every corner of the HQ told a story of hard work, innovation, and the relentless drive to be the best. It was impossible not to leave feeling inspired.

We were lucky to have Barry Oulton join us for the day. Barry, a communication expert and all-around positivity guru, led an insightful workshop on the power of positivity and effective communication. His session was a game-changer. He reminded us of the importance of how we communicate – not just what we say, but how we say it. Barry’s techniques are something we’re excited to bring back to our daily work at Sketch, helping us build stronger connections with our clients and each other.

After soaking in the creative vibes at Gymshark and being inspired by Barry’s workshop, we headed to MK Health Hub for a private Reformer Pilates class. Now, I’ll be the first to admit that Pilates can be a little intimidating, especially on a machine! However, our instructor, Victoria, was fantastic. She guided us through each movement with patience and encouragement. It was the perfect way to round off our fitness-led day, challenging our bodies in new ways and leaving us all feeling stronger.

As the Brand Manager at Sketch, this day was a reminder of why we do what we do. Seeing how Gymshark operates with such passion and precision, learning from Barry about the power of positive communication, and ending the day with some much-needed physical and mental rejuvenation – it all came together to create a day that was not just inspiring but also empowering.
