Team Trip to Hereford

Last week, the Sketch Creative team took a much-needed escape to Hereford to recharge, reconnect, and soak up some local charm. From the cosy vibes at The Barns to the thrilling activities at Oaker Wood, our trip was full of fun, laughter, and memorable moments. Here’s a quick recap of the highlights that made our adventure one for the books.

We kicked off our journey with the excitement of arriving at The Barns. As soon as we stepped inside, we knew we’d found the perfect spot. The rustic charm and peaceful setting made it feel like a true home away from home.

After unpacking, we jumped straight into our first adventure – Laser Clays, right at The Barns! We had a blast taking aim and challenging each other. It was the perfect way to start our trip and get everyone in a great mood. To wrap up the day, we grabbed a takeaway, poured some drinks, and relaxed, soaking in the good vibes and beautiful countryside.

Friday morning, we headed to Oaker Wood Activity Centre, ready for a day packed with adventure. The drive was short, and soon we were diving into our first activity.

We kicked off the day with Codebreaker, a fantastic game that really got our brains buzzing. We tackled puzzles, cracked codes, and had a ton of fun working together. It was brilliant to see everyone’s problem-solving skills in action.

After a hearty lunch, we took on the High Ropes course, which really pushed our courage to the limit. Leaping from the trees at dizzying heights was definitely nerve-wracking, but it was an incredible way to face and conquer our fears. Even though none of us were too comfortable with the jumps, pushing through the anxiety was incredibly rewarding. The views from up high were stunning, and the pride we felt in overcoming our fears made the whole experience unforgettable.

To top off our adventurous day, we headed to The Cider Barn for dinner. The food was delicious, and the local cider was just what we needed to unwind and celebrate the day.

Sunday morning arrived way too soon, but we started it off on a high note with a fantastic breakfast cooked up by Adam – our Head of Production and resident Chef!

As we packed up and said our goodbyes to The Barns, we couldn’t help but reflect on what an amazing trip we’d had. From the fun of Laser Clays and the thrill of High Ropes to the cosy comfort of our stay and the delicious meals, our Hereford adventure was a total win. Here’s to more incredible adventures and creative getaways in the future!
